October 5, 2010 - The Costa Rican Bird Route has been recognized as the "Eco-Initiative of the Month" for October 2010 by the Rainforest Alliance Eco-Index initiative! What a great way to be honored in this, our tenth year, of rainforest conservation work.

The Eco-Index provides the conservation community with a quick and easily accessible vehicle to share project data and reports, lessons learned, and best practices in a succinct and consistent format.
This distinction will be featured on the Eco-Index's "What's New?" page for the month of October, was featured in their Monthly Update email newsletter, and will be permanently archived in their "Project Awards" archive pages. An award icon will also be permanently featured on the Costa Rican Bird Route's project profile.
